The Eyre Creek is seldom afforded a significant flow but when it does, it becomes an outstanding spectacle as it pushes its course between countless dunes of the Simpson Desert. This miraculous event has recently occurred not far from Birdsville and the famed Big Red sand dune, creating an impressive view on our 40 minute scenic flight.

Leaving Birdsville, you will take in Big Red before following the Eyre Creek as it traverses the Simpson Desert QAA line and becomes trapped in the swales before it fights on to feed the Warburton River system enroute to its final destination, Lake Eyre. As your aircraft returns towards Birdsville, experience the beauty of the Diamantina River, Birdsville Racecourse and Birdsville township from the air.
